Seal life

Sealing reliability is the real risk

Heat rejection is sized once against a kW figure. A seal is not: three fluid variables decide its life.

Half the channel width is the blockage threshold at entrances and bends.

Four field rules for the commissioning month

Passivate

ASTM A380 and A967; one unpassivated part puts free iron in the coolant.

Proof at 1.5×

1.5 times rated maximum working pressure, IEC 62368-1.

Clean 2 µm element, 0.17 bar, 2 psid; change-out 35 psid, 2.4 bar.
